Lighthouse (1984) As a Sophomore at Nashoba Valley Technical
High School in Westford, MA I made this lighthouse
in my welding class. Each piece is a separate piece of
metal tig welded together to give a brick like effect. It
weighs 23 pounds and is about 18" high. I would like
to thank my teacher Mr. Nick for coming up with the
idea to do this lighthouse. I still have this piece of art
today in my office.

While visiting the Akron, OH Intergroup office in October of 2000, two people Jerry G. and Todd W.
were beginning the stained glass project below. Since I had just moved to the area and wanted to be of
service I asked if they needed help. They did need help that day and I came back every Saturday until
we finished the project in June of 2001. Jerry at the time had 25 years experience working with
stained glass and he took the time to teach each of us how to create this stained glass panel. I really
love working with stained glass and seemed to pick up on it right away. During the time, it took to
finish the project I started to buy my own stained glass equipment and had a full stained glass shop in
my basement by the summer of 2001. Since then I have worked on many different projects and began
my journey as a stained glass artist. Click on the Gallery link at the top of this page to see my work.
Man on the Bed This is the panel
many of us
created as it
hangs in the
front window of
the Akron area

office in Akron

and 10' wide
and has over
1000 pieces of
glass.

Lighthouse The next stained glass panel
I worked on was the
Pemaquid Point Lighthouse
located in New Harbor,
Maine. A friend of mine and
his wife travel to this
lighthouse often from Ohio
and asked me if I could
create a picture of the
lighthouse using stained
glass. Here is what I came
up with;
Humming Bird w/ Grapes After doing the
lighthouse, another friend
of mine asked me to
create a stained glass
panel for his wife as a
birthday gift to be placed
in their bathroom
window. I modified this
stained glass panel from
its original style to make
it work for their
bathroom.
